With Matt Entenza out of the race Republican Jeff Johnson has the most money. He reports raising a little more than $200,000 and he has just more than $116,000 on hand.
Bill Luther was always a big fundraiser when he was in Congress, but he's trailing his two DFL opponents in the AG fundraising race. He's raised about $15,000. Steve Kelley raised more than $100,000 and has about $77,800 on hand. Lori Swanson raised nearly $71,000 and has more than 62,000 on hand.

Republican Congressman Mark Kennedy welcomes two presidential hopefuls to Minnesota. Kennedy campaigns with Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist at the State Fair this afternoon. Frist is also in town to raise money for Kennedy. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani will also be in town to raise money for Kennedy.
If Frist or Giuliani wins the GOP nomination, they may have either be in the Twin Cities for the GOP convention. They could also have their eyes on the Twin Cities if the DNC holds the convention here. Tim Nelson, with the Pi Press, follows up on a Denver Post story suggesting Denver's bid may be in trouble. Twin Cities officials are trying to woo both parties to have the '08 convention here. They say the bid will go to whoever decides first.
Governor Pawlenty leads the fundraising race. MPR, the AP, the Star Tribune and the Pi Press have stories. The big question is whether Pawlenty will abide by the spending limits. He has until Friday to decide.
Pawlenty is also a part of a group that supports a 25% renewable energy standard by 2025.
The Hennepin County Board is scheduled to vote and pass the sales tax increase to build a new Twins ballpark. MPR has a story focusing on candidates challenging those who will vote in favor of the tax. The AP previews the story.
Republican Congressman John Kline sends out a lit piece criticizing Coleen Rowley, again.
EJ Dionne, with the Washington Post, mentions GOP Congressman Gil Gutknecht in his column on the GOP difficulties on Iraq.
The Washington Post and the New York Times have stories on the one year anniversary of Katrina hitting New Orleans.
The Wall Street Journal has a story (subscription required) saying pensions are a dying breed.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Hennepin County Board today, as expected, approved a countywide sales tax increase to help cover the costs of a new open air stadium for the Minnesota Twins.
After some heated debate from commissioners, the measure passed four-to-three, without the voter referendum usually required for such tax increases.
Some stadium opponents attended the meeting wearing T-shirts reading, "No taxation without representation -- except in Hennepin County."
One protester held a sign saying, "Make Carl Pohlad use his own money."
The tax increase works out to an additional three cents on a 20-dollar purchase. The zero-point-one-five percent sales tax will fund three-quarters of the 522 (m) million dollar project. Twins owner Carl Pohlad will pay the rest.
