League of Conservation Voters endorses Klobuchar

The environmental group says they endorsed the DFLer because she's committed to renewable energy and is dedicated to protecting the environment:

"LCV is proud to endorse Amy Klobuchar because she understands that energy independence will create the economy of the future by creating jobs and assuring America's rightful place as the world's leading innovator," said LCV Senior Vice President for Political Affairs Tony Massaro. "She also understands that the best way to energy independence is to grow this new economy by developing new and improved energy resources, counting on American ingenuity, American know-how and the American work ethic to reach our goals."

Klobuchar has the DFL endorsement for the U.S. Senate. She's running to succeed retiring Senator Mark Dayton. Republican Congressman Mark Kennedy has the GOP endorsement. There are several members of the Independence Party running in the September primary.
