What is the blogging of which you speak?

Blog for Bell, which I believe is the official blog of the Ford Bell ampaign, is challenging, um, Star Trek fans to pony up with the p5rize being a Star Trek day at the site.

Go ahead, there's a Kyle Lohsian hanging curveball. Try and hit it.

B4B has an interesting feature, by the way, they take questions fro bloggers and the candidate answers them. Neither Klobuchar, nor Kennedy appear to be personally blogging, at least on their sites as near as I can tell.

IP candidate Robert Fitzgerald is blogging his campaign. I met Robert the other day for a few minutes when he was in the building to do Midday. Nice guy. One thing I would like to see on his Web site, though, are some issues.

I figured if the National Review Online could raise $10,000 from Trek fans, it was worth a shot!

Bob, if you'd like to ask Ford five questions, I'd be glad to pencil you in for the week of July 14th.

Then again, if you'd like to have him on the air, I'm sure we could work something out in that regard as well.

Glad you're reading the blog. Live long and prosper.

Well, hot damn, Mark, now we're onto something here! First I'd heard of the Star Trek PAC (g). I wasn't aware National Review Online had tapped into this. Tell me more.

I'll pass on Bell and give the opportunity to others to ask the questions, but very much applaud you for the creativity in using the medium.

I don't have anything to do with what's on the air at MPR but will pass the message along to those that do.

Bob, don't applaud me, applaud Ford. I don't know of another candidate who'd be willing to take questions like Ford is doing. Those who've seen him always comment on his willingness to answer every question.

I'm sure we'll get a few questions we won't be able to answer to the satisfaction of everyone, but at least the voters will know where we stand on all issues, not just those we trumpet.

Not to take a cheap shot at the media, but I do feel like we're doing YOUR work here. For far too long reporters have been failing to ask follow up questions of candidates who dodge questions and give evasive answers.

I hope you'll reconsider participating as Ford would love to take your questions. If nothing else, you could really pin him down on his opinion of federal funding for NPR and PBS.

You're preaching to the choir now, Mark.

A great percentage of what's wrong with politics today can be placed at the feet of journalists unwilling to ask tough questions.

I read a piece in the PiPress today about Klobuchar and crime. A decent issue but I notice that, as I indicated in a post last week, you can go months on the campaign trail and never have to answer a question if reporters let the flaks do all the work.

No, I'm preaching to YOUR audience, but you keep pushing me away from the lectern!

Boy howdy but I miss having my own blog. You sure you don't need a guest blogger to fill in for you while you're on vacation? I promise not to swear and I'll keep all my screeds posts to 5,000 words or less.
