His third and best album "The Awakening" which was released on September 23, 2011, is known as "the sound of an artist coming of age".
At the concert, Morrison will sing favorites, "I Won't Let You Go" (the album's lead single), "Slave to the Music" and "Up" (features English songwriter and singer Jessie J), as well as the rest of his collection of modern folk and soul songs with some gospel, country, Motown and Latin.
Morrison is known as one of the "'finest' white soul singers," and is compared to famous Stevie Wonder and Paul Young. All tickets are $25.00 with a facility fee of $2.50. You can purchase tickets from Ticketmaster.

Wits™ with Paul Thompkins and Aimee Mann
Come listen to charming comedian Paul Tompkins and songwriter Aimee Mann with host John Moe on Wits™. They will perform on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 8:00 pm at the Fitzgerald Theater in St.Paul.
Host John Moe has been on The Current's Morning Show Broadcast, The Splendid Table and Future Tense. Moe has also been a host of APM's Weekend America and many other public radio programs that feature the arts, politics, business and technology. During this performance, John Moe will bring his guests into a discussion, where audiences can join in on the conversation on Twitter. (@johnmoe)
Paul F. Tompkins is one of the most popular comedians on the scene. He hosts a monthly podcast, "The Pod F. Tompkast," and was voted number one in the Rolling Stone's list of 10 Best Comedy Podcasts. His most recent comedy albums are, "Freak Wharf" and "Laboring Under Delusions. (See his IMDB page.)
Aimee Mann is a modern songwriter. She has worked with the 80s band 'Til Tuesday.' She was also nominated for an Academy Award and a Grammy for the songs that she wrote in the film, "Magnolia".

The doors will open at 7:00 PM. Feel free to stop by early, tweet (you can get a special on the Wits™ house drink, the Big Ginger), listen to the happy hour talk and hear DJ Barb Abney mix up some songs. You won't want to miss this fun event!
Enjoy powerful rock n' roll music? The band Daughtry includes amazing, season five finalist Chris Daughtry, Josh Steeley, Brian Craddock and Robin Diaz will be performing at The Brick in Minneapolis!
The band has won multiple awards, such as the Top in Rock Award (2007) and World Music Award (2008). They have also been nominated at the Grammy's and People's Choice Awards in the last two years.
Daughtry's most recent album "Break the Spell" (2011) will be played at the Brick, including some favorites from the "Leave This Town" (2009) and "Daughtry" (2006) albums. My favorite songs that this band has written are "No Surprise," and "Start of Something Good," which bring forth sturdy and mighty feelings. Daughtry's music is just a fiddle or pedal steel away from Lady Antebellum on tracks like "Rescue Me," "Start of Something Good" and "We're Not Gonna Fall" (Graff).
Come listen, sing and cheer for these great singers on May 13th at 7:30 pm. Their powerful music will definitely move you.
