Check your calendars! We had an unavoidable date change. This event will take place March 15, 2011:
It's the framework for our government. It formally established our founding laws and beliefs. The Constitution. These days, it's also a buzzword that figures into many of the hot-button discussions of the age: be it civil rights, free speech, gay marriage, or the place of money in politics. But is the constitution "sacred document" or "malleable work-in-progress"? We'll dispel some of the myths, and try to turn down the rhetoric about our much misunderstood document at our next Policy and a Pint. Steve Seel will talk with U of M professor Tim Johnson, Tuesday March 15th at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis.
