In his Gather post about how not to measure global warming, Minnesota Life contributor Greg Schiller shows us images of several Minnesota Weather datapoints. His first example:
"This is the station at Ada, Minnesota. Notice how close this data point is to buildings, a [satellite] dish and an asphalt street. What do you think it looked like in 1880? Or 1940? So how much has global warming raised temperature here and how much warming comes from the street?" - Greg Schiller
Is Schiller on to something here? Do these types of data point temperatures reflect microclimates, or should we consider the impact of multiple, and clustered microclimates? Review more photos and examples, then join the online discussion.
