Was Black Friday 2008 a success? An economic indicator? Instead of looking forward at December 2008, let's pause and glance back to November 28, 2008.
* MPR News: Black Friday shoppers still show, but some scale back While I didn't go shopping, during an errand run or two I saw plenty of people out and about with their cars jammed full of packages. Was that scaling back? If so, I'm in awe, or just perhaps struck.
* Meanwhile, the AP reports: Shoppers snap up Black Friday deals as stores hope Can you blame them for hoping?
