at 10 a.m. CT starting in a few minutes, Midmorning talks about the decline in book coverage:
The book sections of many American newspapers have been shrinking, and in some cases disappearing, over the past few years. While critics say this is a disservice to readers, some believe the growth of book-centered blogs and Web sites is filling the gap.
Is that true? Even MPR has an online book discussion group at mnreaders.gather.com. Are peer-based online book reviews less valuable than expert, print published ones?
