MPR Midmorning discusses local food and small farms
Posted at 9:06 AM on March 27, 2008 by Julia Schrenkler
Midmorning at 10:06 a.m. CT covers From field to table:
Tainted produce, environmental concerns, and rising energy costs are helping feed a growing interest in local food and small farms. Midmorning speaks with two farmers who are trying to change the way we look at food and agriculture.Guest Will Allen: CEO of the urban farming organization Growing Power.
Guest Audrey Arner: Operates Moonstone Farm in western Minnesota. She's also on the steering committee for the Land Stewardship Project's Farm Beginnings program.
This is certainly ripe for discussion, as people focus on living a sustainable life or even track their experiences in trying to eat locally.
