Bill DeVille and the Musicheads asked: What was the first record you bought with your own money?
Oh, some of the answers are sweet and no-nonsense:
"'Singing the Blues' by Guy Mitchell" - Nippy Katz
"The Police - 'Synchronicity'" - Joseph H.
"Billy Joel 'The Stranger'... and I bought it at a JC Penneys store!" - Michael K.
Others dish on the backstory, like this one:
"I don't rightly recall... but my brother bought the soundtrack to a little known film called Dudes when we were kid, that I would have bought, and it was a record that changed our lives with it's mix of metal, punk, and alternative music." - Eric P.
But if you haven't replied yet, the answer isn't yours. Tell your story.
