"In what I know if going to be the strangest entry on the broke-your-heart list... The Goo Goo Dolls... simply they were a great alt-power pop band who had two solid albums in the 90's and then they hit and have become the poster boys for lite-alt-rock pap." - Eric P.

"I was able to stick with REM up until Monster, then I had to chuck in the towel on them. I couldn't take them anymore. I still haven't purchased an REM album since then.. Well, I haven't purchased a new REM album since. Did have to fill in the back catalog though." - Frick
