Turns out there is full week of free concerts, masterclasses and laid-back, conversational workshops all about the Pipe Organ. I can almost hear the sizzle of Piping Hot!
Open your calendar and compare to this quickest ever schedule of the festival activities:
Saturday, November 3 Master class: 9:30 a.m. to noon
Sunday, November 4, Concert: 7 p.m.
Monday, November 5, Master class: 7-9:30 p.m.
Tuesday, November 6, Concert: 8:15 p.m.
Friday, November 9, Concert: 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, November 10, Master class: 9:30 a.m. to noon
Saturday, November 10, Master class: 1:30-4 p.m.
Sunday, November 11, Concert: 4 p.m.
The magic words are, "All events are free and open to the public." but get FULL details at the festival site because I didn't even outline where the events will happen, who the featured performers are, or even describe the pipe organs that surely must be magnificent.
Of course Pipedreams host Michael Barone is in the thick of things. I'm looking for recaps & reviews of the festival on MPR's Minnesota Music group. If you're attending any of the sessions and want to write it up or share photos let me know about it!
