Paulose controversy on the NYT front page

Posted at 12:22 PM on November 13, 2007 by Melanie Sommer (0 Comments)

The New York Times delves into the conflict over Rachel Paulose's leadership of the U.S. Attorney's office in Minnesota in a front-page story. Paulose, you may recall, was named to the post by then-Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, after Tom Heffelfinger resigned from the job.

During the political firestorm that erupted over Gonzales' firing of several U.S. attorneys, it became pretty clear that Heffelfinger's name was also on the list.

Paulose has had her share of troubles running the office to date. And the new Attorney General, Michael Mukasey, inherits the mess.
