AP boss ruffles news industry feathers

No kid gloves in a speech yesterday by Tom Curley, CEO of The Associated Press, in which he challenged news industry leaders to adapt to a changing news landscape:
"The first thing that has to go is the attitude," Curley said. "Our institutional arrogance has done more to harm us than any portal."
Curley's formula for success: give up the "gateway" mentality and customize delivery for consumers who are increasingly savvy at how and where they get their news.
