Gary Eichten: Hall of Famer
Posted at 10:05 AM on October 29, 2007 by Bill Wareham (0 Comments)

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of seeing my good friend and colleague Gary Eichten inducted into the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting Hall of Fame. That's Gary in the back row, second from right. This is a BIG deal for Minnesota broadcasters and I know in Gary's case it is very well-deserved. This year's class gives you some idea of the elite company Gary joins - it includes Don Shelby, Mel Jass, Franklin Hobbs, Vern Gagne and Ray Scott. He's the third MPR inductee, following Bill Kling and Leigh Kamman. Congratulations, Gary!
(The full list of this year's inductees and past honorees is here.)
