Paid service deselected at NYTimes
Posted at 9:54 AM on September 18, 2007 by Bill Wareham
The New York Times has pulled the plug on its two-year-old TimesSelect paid online service (registration required) .
Personally, I thought if any mainstream media outlet could sell online subscriptions it would be the Times. The price wasn't oppressive, $50/year, but the Times' free content is already pretty solid and plentiful, so I never felt compelled to sign up.
