Midmorning: Tom Heffelfinger and Andre Watts
Posted at 7:40 AM on July 26, 2007 by Bill Wareham
Democrats in Congress aren't shying away from the possibility of a constitutional confrontation with the Bush administration over executive privilege stemming from the firing of several U.S. attorneys. At 9 a.m., former U.S. attorney Tom Heffelfinger talks with Kerri Miller about what he sees happening at the Department of Justice. Heffelfinger's name was on a list of 30 attorneys who were candidates for firing. He resigned before the list came to light in May. He's currently a partner at Best & Flanagan.
At 10 a.m., classical pianist Andre Watts celebrates a career spanning over fifty years and tells Midmorning what it takes to keep his audience coming back. Watts is a Grammy-winning classical pianist and professor at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
