Online video news awards: The future is now (sort of)

The National Press Photographers Association added categories for online journalism to its awards this year. MPR News didn't have anything to enter, but the way the journalism business is changing, I think it won't be long before video becomes a regular feature alongside our other online offerings.
It's telling that judges didn't award 1st place recognition in two of the four online categories. “We watched a number of stories that – while solid – need more development and visual sophistication" one judge remarked.
