Lots of options for monitoring election results tonight

Posted at 11:41 AM on November 7, 2006 by Bill Wareham

We'll begin providing special election coverage at 7 p.m. this evening on MPR News stations. It will be a mix of national political coverage from National Public Radio with a heavy dose of local coverage hosted by Gary Eichten. We'll have reporters monitoring the action at the main campaign spots, analysis from Bob Meek and Tom Horner and lots of returns as they come in.

The returns will also be updated frequently on the web at mpr.org or the results page. And online editor Bob Collins will keep the site fed with all the latest news from the races. It'll be a great place to turn to figure out who's in and who's out, both locally and nationally.

We're also debuting our live election night event upstairs in the UBS forum. All Things Considered host Tom Crann and Steve Seel from the Current will be hosting the festivities, which you can watch online via a video stream accessible here.
