Amanda's mother has said she hopes her daughter's video can be used as a tool to help prevent future deaths from bullying, the CBC reports.

It appears as though the "hacktivist" group Anonymous has tracked down and outed the man responsible for the initial picture-taking, subsequent stalking, and harassment of Amanda Todd. Good on them for doing so, as it seems that law enforcement never really cares enough to investigate in cases like this.
