The antidote to this week's news

Posted at 3:06 PM on August 24, 2012 by Bob Collins (4 Comments)

Some week in the news, eh? Kids killed on roadways, another mass shooting, political sex scandals, child porn charges against a football coach...

Regular NewsCut readers probably know that I like to leave the week behind on Friday afternoon with something that provides a little "equal time" from the other end of the news spectrum.

It's a story coming up Sunday in the Atlanta Journal Constitution about a down-and-out former coach, befriended by a one-time player of his.

If you've shaken your head during the news at all this week, you're going to want to click the image to view the video. Don't dilly dally; I don't know how long AJC.com will be leaving it up. Its existence seems to be a well-guarded secret.

Are you one of the people who think we could use more stories like this? Good. Help me find them.
