Full-rez Curiosity images arrive

Now we're getting to the good stuff. Today, the Curiosity rover delivered the first full-resolution images of its new home on Mars.

The foreground shows two distinct zones of excavation likely carved out by blasts from the rover's descent stage thrusters, NASA writes.

Remembering Mitch Hedberg

It's been seven years since Mitch Hedberg died. He may be the (intentionally) funniest person ever to come out of Saint Paul, Minnesota, until cocaine and heroin did him in. He was only 37.

Now, Scott Moran, a comic, has produced several new documentaries about comedians, the latest interviewing Lynn Shawcroft, Hedberg's wife of several years.
