Just when I was afraid I wouldn't find something to occupy a Friday afternoon, I stumbled across -- and I realize I'm late to this party -- the videos that have been submitted for Architecture MN's annual video contest.

Marianne Combs, who writes MPR's State of the Arts blog, is on the jury going over the dozens of videos on sustainable transportation in advance of a show at the Walker.

Here's an example:

Videotect 2: Drift from Architecture Minnesota on Vimeo.

I have no idea where this was shot -- it doesn't look like part of Minnesota with which I'm familiar -- but I'd like to find out.

Here are all the videos.
Go spend your day and then vote. Apparently, today is the last day to vote.

Nice. Regarding where it was shot in Minnesota, I'm betting somewhere close to the town of Poetic Licence, but I would love to be wrong.

Down around Edgerton? I was a kid when I was there, but the hills seemed enormous to me
