The caviar crisis

My colleagues gave me a good hard time yesterday after I acknowledged on yesterday's Midmorning broadcast that I know nothing about Downton Abbey (I could play the dyslexia card in explaining why I called it Downtown Abbey, but I won't), which apparently is now required viewing for public radio fans. Discussing it in the open is to fitting in in 2012 as small alligators on sweaters were in the 1980s. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

As usual, a discussion of public radio stereotypes ensued ("Did you go to Macalester or Carleton?"). A good addition to the list would've been this morning's Weekend Edition segment on the endangered species of sturgeon, and its effect on caviar.

"Do you eat caviar, are you worried about this?" the NPR host said. Sometimes we make this game too easy.
