The Northern Lights put in an appearance last night over northern Minnesota.
In Solway Township...
In Shevlin, Minnesota, the maker of this video says, "the video is over saturated because of the brightness. I was not expecting any aurora activity since the sun is currently quiet but the sky exploded with aurora activity. This was not the usual aurora activity I see. It looked like a blanket of white light that flowed to the south and dissipated into pillows of light. I believe this activity was caused from a coronal hole high speed stream. You will also note a purple west-east line flow south as this aurora episode weakens."
And the Duluth News Tribune has images from Gnesen Township, north of Duluth.(3 Comments)
