Calling ignorance what it is

The video of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie defending an appointment to the New Jersey Superior Court is starting to catch fire on the Intertubes.

Sohail Mohammed, 47, was sworn into the job last week, despite criticism that a Muslim judge could lead the way to the influence of Sharia law.

Christie didn't mix words about what was at work in the criticism.

Christie is rumored to be interested in running for president someday.

"So now it's for sure --he ain't running," a local commenter on Facebook noted today.

I'd vote for him. He tells the truth, which clearly means he wouldn't win, but I'd vote for him.

Bravo, Governor!

Somewhere, I believe, William F. Buckley is applauding, too.

Our concern might be better directed toward fundamentalist Christians on school boards who believe that the universe was created 6,000 years ago.

@ Jim Shapiro - I don't disagree, but fundamentalist Muslims are also creationists. The two groups share a lot of the same information and tactics. I believe the Discovery Institute and Harun Yahya are working together in some capacity.

Drae, are you serious about that? About the two organizations working together?

That is truly scary.

A lot of fundamentalist Christians would condemn all stripes of Islam, though. They don't see how very much alike they are.
