A parental tribute to a gay soldier

Bob Ingrassia via Twitter alerts us to this video from the parents of a Rosemount native, killed in Afghanistan in February. "It was the least interesting thing about him," his father says about the fact his son was gay.

Even the comments on the YouTube page are worth reading.

While the world paid its attention to Libya this week, six U.S. soldiers died in Afghanistan.

When I was younger, I believed that homosexuals were generally more sensitive, creative and intelligent.

Then there was the recent struggle for the rights of gays to join the military, and I realized that they're just as lost as us heterosexuals.
