OK, so everything's off schedule, with Collins gone and all. For a rouser, I'd planned to pivot from President Obama's video cameo at the Academy Awards last night and offer a clip of Dooley Wilson performing "As Time Goes By," which the president identified as his favorite movie song of all time. But for some reason, although I can link to it, none of the online clips I can find of "Casablanca" will allow an embed.
On to Plan B, then: Joe Cocker's incomparable cover of "With a Little Help from My Friends," at Woodstock. In these times, it works as political commentary.
