The weekly News Cut Quiz

Last week's high score was 13, posted by Kevin Watterson, Director of Public Affairs for the Minnesota House Republican Caucus. It might well be the high point for Republicans in Minnesota this week. His prize is that he will now be followed by Midmorning host Kerri Miller on her new Twitter account. We''re happy for both of them.

I don't have a prize this week. Sorry. Maybe we can get people to donate prizes -- maybe some raw milk or something.

Here's a big hint to the secret of success this week. Reach each question carefully. Wait a second for the quiz to load. And post your answers and complaints below.

Wow, this is far and away a personal best: 13/15! I must have done an extra-thorough job reading News Cut this week.

Wow! 12/15! My PR as well!

Almost got tricked by the Roger Clemens one. But caught my cursor just in time!

15/15.

Too bad I didn't do this well last week.

Kerri wouldn't have had to worry about overloading her Twitter activities, as I have no account to follow.

An embarrassing 10-15.

12. Again. I can never quite seem to get over the hump to 13...

10/15. Protein power?

11-15. I can sleep well, knowing I bested Kevin. Again.

Crappy this week. 8 :(

13/15. My personal best.

Early precinct returns seem to be suggesting I made this one too easy.

10/15, not my best. Perhaps a good prize would shout out to winner on 4:20 news update on the current!

11-15 I'm happy.

Possible 12 but, duh! Federal Grand Jurys get you for lying, not for what you did.

Very well worded question.

12- but ashamed to admit I did not know who the governor of Iowa was.

Took the quiz this week with the assistance of my better half, and as a result, my score doubled. 12!

13/15. Normally, I get every sports question wrong, but this week, I even surprised myself. Mmmm...protein powder!

13/15 - Reminder to self: Read "Welcome to Iowa" sign next time I have a chance.
