Duluth has been the Minnesota front-runner in producing YouTube videos to convince Google to select it as the first site for a free high-speed Internet access network.
Now there are more in-state video competitors that have surfaced in recent days.
One is Scott County:
And Lakeville has just uploaded this one:
Step forward, Austin:
Today is the last day for communities to submit their requests. When the final selections have been made, perhaps we can turn our attention to why a music city like Memphis, Tennessee can't carry a tune.
Update 1:53 p.m. - Duluth's latest upload:

I'm confused... in the Duluth polar bear plunge video, why is a fish thrown at the wet mayor's head at 1:51???
The funny videos have been great and it's true Duluth is in the lead there. From Franken to the Fake Mayor to a video of a wild (but well-spoken) Heavy Metal fan, Duluth-Superior has great, funny videos supporting our bid.
But we've stayed in the lead because we have an organized (yet organic) effort behind our bid. And most of all, we are in the lead because we're a fantastic candidate.
Our Reel Twin Ports Youtube Channel has dozens of videos posted on it in our bid to get Google Fiber. I'll post the URL for the latest one below. It is 7 minutes of well thought out, organized and thoughtful arguments for why Google should choose our community.

Hmmm....Duluth has lots of attention, true....but it was the Lake Superior stunt that did it. Memphis is fairing very well without such stunts. See http://www.hookmemphisup.com/videos/hook-memphis-up/ .
