As it is Mrs. News Cut's ancestral homeland, and one of the most gorgeous places in the country, I have a soft spot for all things Vermont. I also have a soft spot for Olympic athletes who aren't full of themselves.
So it's win-win when it comes to talking about Hannah Teter, an NBC profile of whom should lead to more people looking in the mirror.

I caught part of this story while watching the snowboarding competition. The first thing that caught my attention? That she gives all of her winnings away to charity. Amazing.
It is amazing and admirable to recognize a talent is a gift and to use it to make the world a better place. Doesn't happen nearly enough. Kudos Hannah!
