In the old days, airlines once stressed the sex appeal of its employees to try to get you to fly their airlines.

They don't do that anymore.

I was wondering if you caught that NYT article.

Despite living through one harrowing aviation incident (and my wife two), I have never had any fear of stepping on an airplane before. Never.

Until this morning when I read that article.

Now perhaps I am overreacting. Levels of risk and all that. But I'll be clear: I genuinely hope so.
