Judging by the crowds on Sunday at Como Conservatory and Zoo in St. Paul, there are a lot of people anxious to pretend they're in the tropics, or at least in warmer weather.

The Winter Flower Show is at the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory through March 15.

I need to visit the Conservatory with my camera.

As some counterpoint, Bob, i went up to take pictures on the North Shore this weekend, and met some Ice fishers...

Yesterday my dad and I hiked minnehaha creek. The work crews are making progress in shoring up the undermined WPA walls below the falls. Above the falls we hiked upstream, under Hwy 55 & along the creek back to my neighborhood. It was a great day to be out and about.
