The prayer was not unifying. Ending with the decidely Christian prayer that is rarely prayed in churches like the Rick Warren leads was not a good ecumenical or interfaith move. As one who works in interfaith leadership, I was disappointed.

I suppose if you're diligently trawling for grievances, it wasn't.

But then, there was no real chance of a prayer that'd satisfy everyone, was there?

I had several 'things' up on my computer at the same time and I was listening to two.
I had Mpr's Obama's inaugaration speech going and at the same time I was surfing you tube to hear Sly and the Family Stone not thinking about what I was doing. So I am playing Sly's, "Higher" song and as he is singing, "I want to take you Higher", I could hear Barack Obama give his inaugural speech in the back ground.

I didn't mean to do this, but it was powerful!
