Sarah Palin is coming to Minnesota on Friday, just a few days after the Minnesota poll found the race here is a dead heat, making Minnesota another battleground state. A rally will be held at the Anoka-Blaine airport.

2008, however, still badly trails 2004 in candidate visits.

What if you weight the visits by attendance? Haven't more people seen Obama and McCain than Bush or Kerry?

No, they weren't here campaigning for Minnesota votes and they got out of Dodge just as quickly as they could.

So I guess the standard is if you visit the state and you're not guarded by 4,000 cops and large steel fences, it's a "visit" (g)

Oh, please oh please don't say this. I have had way too much of presidential politics and presidential security the week of the RNC. I can watch TV or internet video without the police state security and without the cost of that security.
