The most e-mailed stories on Web sites can tell us a lot about what people think is interesting. They can be a reality check.
How closely is Denver following the convention? Here's the most-emailed list on the Rocky Mountain News Web site at the moment:

I actually don't think most-emailed lists are a very good barometer of interest. The stories I send friends are ones I think they might have missed--news of the weird. I don't send stories about the Convention or other big news because I know they've seen it already.
