Who's drinking?

Posted at 2:22 PM on June 26, 2008 by Bob Collins (1 Comments)

The nightmare is over. The most overcovered process story in the history of the Twin Cities has ended: bottom's up, ye attendees of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul.

The theme of the coverage of the move to expand bar hours has been interesting -- and incomplete.

GOP delegates can drink 'til dawn, the Star Tribune's headline says.

GOP has more time to drink at convention, said The Hill last month.

Let's go over the numbers:

Number of delegates to the GOP convention in St. Paul: 2,380

Total number of media members expected at the GOP convention in St. Paul: 15,000

By the way, here's a toast to volunteers who showed up to work today on a new home for Sgt. Marcus Kuboy in Woodbury.
