From the weekly precinct-by-precinct "highlights" from the Minneapolis Police Department crime report:
4th Precinct:
I escaped from North last year. The amazing part of this story is they attempted to stop someone for loud music.
But remember, the crime rate in MPLS is down this year. That was really a consolation to me when I called 911 in my last month living there to report a fight involving 4 thugs visible out my back window, with a crowd of a dozen cheering them on. They tasered someone and arrested the 2 guys with guns.
The name of the game is pushing crime around. Without any real data, it looked to me like they pushed crime out of Phillips and Powderhorn into Near North, pushing the North crime farther north, spilling out into Broolyn Center and Robbinsdale. Anyone from BC or Robbinsdale see it coming their way? Is the MPLS crime rate down at your expense?
