It's been nearly fifteen years since French electronica duo Air released their debut full-length album Moon Safari, and this month they're putting out what may be their richest and most inspired release since that 1997 classic. Inspired by (and named after) the 1902 film A Trip to the Moon by Georges Melies, one of cinema's earliest geniuses, Le Voyage Dans La Lune was released this week, and features contributions from Beach House's Victoria Legrand as well as the Brooklyn-based dream-pop trio Au Revoir Simone.
