The Current's 7th Birthday Party

Like a rambunctious child, the Current wants bigger and better presents for its birthday every year. BUT, the presents go to YOU.


We're happy to announce that this year's annual birthday party event is now 2 nights! So mark your calendar for January 27th and 28th, 2012.

If you want to see how much fun we have at these things, take a gander at our photo gallery from last year.


Like years past, the party will take place at First Avenue's mainroom.

Tickets will go on sale Jan. 5, 2012 to MPR Members first. There'll be a 2 ticket per person per show limit. (Become a member now and get first crack at tickets -- this show has sold out fast in the past)


We'll announce the full line-up on Monday, December 19th. We'll start at 7 a.m. and reveal one band name each hour until 2 p.m.! Tune-in all day, and watch thecurrent.org for more info.
