Today we're unveiling the artists who will be playing The Current's Seventh Birthday Bash, taking place over two nights at First Avenue on January 27th and 28th. Seven years. Holy cats, can you believe that? Seems like just yesterday we were launching the station with a handful of CDs, running on backup generators during a power-outage in downtown St. Paul.
As we look forward to that exciting seventh anniversary this morning, we thought we'd put together a 9:30 Coffee Break featuring songs containing the number seven in the title.
Songs played:
The White Stripes "Seven Nation Army"
The Clash "The Magnificent Seven"
Echo and the Bunnymen "Seven Seas"
Love "7 and 7 is"
Prince "Seven"
The Clash's "The Magnificant Seven" is an obvious choice.
