"I was driving in my car yesterday when my 5 yr old asked for Mavis Staples. I started thinking about music that we listen to in our youth and how it shapes our interest in music later and how the current has such a great impact on music tastes in youth right now. These are songs from records that I found my my parent's collection in my younger years- I remember the summer I found these songs and I just wanted to hear them again."
