Minnesota History Center has it's "1968 Exhibit" through February 20, 2012 here in St. Paul. I'll be hosting Hot Wax: A Musical History of 1968 at the History Center tomorrow afternoon.
It was certainly a tumultuous year any way you look at it. But, it was also a hugely interesting year musically. Johnny Cash did his concert at Folsom Prison, the Beatles were still around & the Stones recorded Beggars Banquet, Sly and the Family Stone were a hit machine and James Brown was at the top of his game.
I'll feature a couple of tunes an hour for my portion of our Saturday!
