Fun word of the day: Contrails. Contrails (short for "condensation trails") or vapour trails are artificial clouds that are the visible trails of condensed water vapour made by the exhaust of aircraft engines. As the hot exhaust gases cool in the surrounding air they may precipitate a cloud of microscopic water droplets or, if the air is cold enough, tiny ice crystals.
Why am I giving you a vocabulary lesson? Because Contrails is the name of the song we're giving away for free on today's Song of the Day Podcast.
Astronautalis "Contrails" featuring Tegan Quin, of indie duo Tegan and Sara. The song is off his latest release This is Our Science.
He'll be performing live as part of the Doomtree Blow out as Sim's guest for Sunday night at 1st ave.
