We've been talking this morning about the world premiere of the new single by the Black Keys that we're rolling out just after 9am, "Lonely Boy." The forthcoming album is called "El Camino," which spurred some discussion about the Chevy vehicle by that name (Jill and I wondered, why didn't they put a picture of an actual El Camino on the album cover instead of a Chrysler min-van? A listener pointed out that "el camino" is Spanish for "the road"). We love learning stuff!

So, staying on that thread, we want to put together a set for today's 9:30 Coffee Break featuring songs that are actually named for specific car models.

Songs played:
Southern Culture on the Skids "69 El Camino"
Ronny and the Daytonas "GTO"
The Modern Lovers "Roadrunner"
The Presidents of the United States of America "Mach Five"
Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen "Hot Rod Lincoln"
The Clash "Brand New Cadillac"
