Monday: Johnny Cash, "Live at San Quentin" (1969)
Being an inmate at San Quentin State Prison on February 24, 1969 had at least one perk. This was the follow up live album to "Live at Folsom Prison."
Tuesday: The Cyrkle, "Red Rubber Ball" (1966)
The Cyrkle wasn't around for long and they had a connection to The Beatles. Brian Epstein (Beatles manager) was also The Cyrkle's manager.
Wednesday: Suzi Quatro "Your Mama Won't Like Me" (1975)
Suzi Quatro was probably more known as Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days than for her music career in the U.S. She had a lot more chart success in Europe.
Thursday: The Ventures, "Super Psychedelics" (1967)
The Ventures weren't exactly living the counter-culture lifestyle, but their music wasn't really a far cry from the psychedelic sounds of the 60's. Their use of fuzzed out guitar effects fit right into the times.
Friday: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, "Return of the Living Dead" (1985)Soundtrack from the 1985 zombie movie. We played "Partytime (Zombie Version)" by the Los Angeles punk/metal band 45 Grave.
