Sims interview at the State Fair

Check out this video of local hip-hop artist Sims, featuring clips from his performance at our State Fair booth and interviews about his music and the Twin Cities scene.

Sims is a member of the Twin Cities hip-hop collective Doomtree. Led my longtime local luminary emcee P.O.S., the collective has also produced Current favorites like Dessa and up-and-coming artists like producer/DJ Lazerbeak (who also appears in the video). Doomtree releases albums as a group, but each member also releases solo material on the Doomtree record label. Sims made his solo debut with 2005's Lights Out Paris and followed it up with his sophomore album Bad Time Zoo earlier this year. Sims and Lazerbeak released an EP, Wildlife, last month.
