Pitchfork Festival 2011 kicked of with afternoon performances by German DJ duo Gatekeeper, EMA, and tUnE-yArDs. Later in the day, Neko Case appeared at the Festival on the heels of her acclaimed 2009 album "Middle Cyclone." London-based electronic prodigy, James Blake, brought his dubstep-derived minimalist pop to the Pitchfork Music festival in support of his 2011 eponymous full-length debut. Most notably, Guided By Voices took the stage as a part of their ongoing Classic Lineup tour, which reunites the version of the group responsible for the 90s lo-fi classics "Propeller," "Bee Thousand," and "Alien Lanes."
