Around noon today the news began to break of the death of Amy Winehouse. She was found dead in her London home of undetermined causes at age 27.
Winehouse was small in stature, but her voice was big and soulful, along with her black bee-hive hairdo and sailor tattoo's made her quite a rock star. Her Back to Black album sold millions worldwide, making her a household word. She was also a troubled soul. Her problems with drugs and alcohol were well documented.
She recently cancelled her recent European tour after being booed offstage in Serbia, when she appeared too drunk to perform.
It's all a very sad and tragic story.
Rest in peace, Amy Winehouse
We'll be playing Winehouse tracks throughout the weekend to commemorate her career. Browse the catalog and make a request.
are you expecting her to juggle an accordion? Come one, she really can sing.... I really like her acoustic work. She knows how to work her voice against a microphone. She would surely be missed.
