Ok, she never really went away, but, Gillian Welch is back with her first new album under her moniker in 8 years. She did sing on her musical and life partner Dave Rawlings album a couple years ago. Gillian's new album is called, The Harrow And The Harvest. It will be released on Tuesday. Jolie Holland's new album is also out this week, we heard both artists on the latest United States of Americana!
Also heard new americana from Dave Alvin, Dawes, Wheeler Brothers & Bill Callahan, who performs on Friday at the Cedar.
